Knights Of The Old Republic 2, Review
I recently pulled this game back out of my library, and became intent on beating it all the way through, and completing the special things that come with the game. The overall game is the same as its predecessor, and invites some new tactics. The game becomes much harder as you transverse through the scences, and all that you trained for and with will come in handy. The graphics are good, and descriptive, but are slightly polygonal and dull. The lack of detail in clothing, body, and voice becomes annoying. Sometimes i experience a break in the graphics where the game continues but the graphics freeze. Sound is amazing, truly Star Wars, and unique. Providing an atmosphere around you while traveling through a cave with misty sounds, it is great. But what i truly found to be the best feature of this game, is it's ability to bring in people without a training sequence. The introduction to the game lasts 5 minutes and explains everything. The game uses only the mouse and 4 keys, with the option of using hot keys. The simple battle system is that of unique simplicity by only clicking a button on the screen. Unfortunatly, flaws in the game occur, a lot. For example, allies and enemies of ten get stuck, and the reappear somewhere else. Sound sometimes crackles and the battle system somtimes skips your turn. This makes the game hard to get used to. But otherwise this new addition paves a path that can surely open up for a new sequel, but seems unfortunatly absent in the future.
